更累


Wanted to post this last night.. but cannot bring myself to the com...

2nd day at AH...wahhhhh 凶.. 2 simply humbling and overwhelming tutorials... information overload.. but somehow, my sado side found it quite shiok...=p.. at least I go home with something in my head.. This is how we looked at the end of the day:



End almost at 6, went for tuition.. my colleague took one look at my shag face and decided not to bully me for the day... which brings me to the question.. why...do...i...keep...getting...bullied...?

Joked that I wan to quit liao..and the reply was:

"Dun leh. If not every fri I dun have anyone to 弄.."

弄. Thanks arrrrrr...

Den went home and tot that I can have a good night's rest.. before the call from TTSH to inform us about a hospitalised relative came.

AT 330AM.

Tuition coming at 10am... soccer later... can chu limit break liao..=p

First day surgical posting at AH.. Things I've learned today:
  1. How to scrub in properly
  2. How to keep out of other ppl's way
Yah that's it. But feel damn tired..... But still somehow managed to summon the will to drag myself down to get a haircut.. Mebbe the yicky feeling of overgrown hair overpowered the tiredness...

But the shop wasn't open.

And I felt like tearing my hair out.

And maybe I should have done so cos it would have saved me $8.

Ambivalence


Feeling abit ambivalent.. maybe its the conflict btwn the feeling of excited at learning all the new stuff and the fear of screwing things up/not learning fast/well enuff... feel abit daunted by the challenging year ahead also.. but i think its just a after-effect of slacking too much last week..

Used to be uncomfortable about needles.. not say hysterical fear, but just slightly uncomfortable, but felt alot better after playing around wif them for a while today...=p... now just afraid that I would inflict unnecessary pain on my future 'victims'...

Looking forward to the weekend.. 78 Weekend Warriors gogogo!!! hehe

跟朋友一起出去,一起踢球,一起打球,一起吃饭,一起聊天, 感觉很奇妙, 很....幸福吧... 快乐就可以这么简单.. =)

Anyway tmr is 22nd April! Which is Intel Price Cut Day!!!! In fact prices have already started to drop in SLS!!! My Core 2 Duo E6600 has dropped by over $100!!! ($125 in fact).. RAM prices are dropping too!!! Woohoo!! Now to wait for the prices of Geforce 8 cards to drop...hehe

Tonight's episode of <<引擎>> (every friday, 11.30pm, Chn U) was simple, yet painfully touching... compared to the other recent series which I was following - <<百色巨塔>> (every saturday and sunday, 7.30pm, Chn U), until the complicated and screwed up relationships put me off...

To me, life can be screwed up, work can be frustrating, finances can be in a mess, the world outside can be utter chaos..........

......but relationships, no matter what kind, must be pure, and simple.

Busy slacking


Lazy Sunday afternoon.... actually it'll feel even lazier if the sun was out... orangy afternoons feel the laziest... now the sky is so dark.. going to rain liao.. feels more gloomy than lazy...

Here's my schedule for next week:
Completely empty except Fri night(tuition) and Sat morning (tuition again) and mebbe tuesday night (some guy's birthday..=p)...

Hah..wad a change from mugging from 7am to 9pm everyday... feels abit empty tho.. mebbe i shld try and enjoy it while it lasts...

Ok, done editing the "PULSE" and removed the out of place ECG grid.. looks slightly better now..


Anyway, anyone who's zhai in CSS? Cos i think i need help... my css still not zhai enuff since my blog seem to not display properly in quite a number of browsers..

Okay... this is my 1st draft of the Pulse webbie layout, after about 2 hours of playing around.. (excluding taking of pictures of my stethoscope..=p) Not say very nice, but something abit different... but if Supreme Commander (Ryan) dun like, I'll have to start again..haha


On second thoughts, the ECG pattern near the top right hand corner seems abit..... off... hmmm =/

[Edit] On 3rd thoughts, the "U", "S" and "E" seem abit.....off also... shall attempt to rectify that...

Aaaaand... it's over..


The past 4 weeks were certainly not easy... I won't go as far as to say that it was the darkness part of my life, but it was certainly one of the more difficult parts. And I would have given up long ago, if not for the following people.. Presenting my thank you list..

Quan Yao
Yea man... thanks for sitting beside me in the lecture theatre almost everyday (well mebbe except when u pon) for the past academic year, giving me encouragement when I am down and criticism when I needed it. Thanks for ur omnipresence during the exam period, the "hu zam" sessions and for sharing ur good stuff. I remembered u said during one of the mugging sessions that "the group of us have a special common understanding that is something to be treasured.." I agree man.. known u since sec 1.. I guess we both know a lot of each others' idiosyncrasies.. feels good to have friends that really know u around..

Wenyang and Ivan
My gym and 20cent machine buddies... haha.. can't imagine how studying in school without you guys would be like.. and all the things we hurl at each other... i hope u all understand that those stuff were meant to tease, not hurt.. haha... again, ur presences are something I can look forward to everyday I go to sch... or else mugging would be soooo sian man.. yea and i will also always remember wad Ivan said to me, "I didn't know you can talk so much cock... I always though u were damn serious..." lol...now u noe..

Heyy... if u are reading this... thanks alot for giving us lifts almost everyday we study in sch... otherwise we will be soooo shagged after the whole day man.. and also, thanks for always remembering to jio us for lunch and dinner.. =)

You the MAN!!! haha... thanks for the neurosci review lectures and all the high quality notes throughout the year, or else the whole class would have been screwed already... compared to u.. my efforts as the asst-class rep are like... non-existent.. haha.. and thanks for giving me a lift almost to my doorstep last friday... up man

Hey.. sorry for "neglecting" u these few weeks.. haha nvr had much chance to tok to u... but just want to tell u that what you told me few weeks ago really meant alot to me... "no matter wad decision you make, no matter the outcome, I will support you..." yea man... really is give me one one-times-good-one 强心剂... Thanks for always being there to lend me a listening ear and being able to keep ur mouth shut (well, most of the time =p)... my fortune to have u as my bro dude..

And all the rest of you...
...who studied in sch.. thanks Ronnie, Liwei, Yinghao, Stephrene, Wenbo, Raymond, Weili, Alvin etc etc (and the occasional Ryan, Ningqi and Xiaoxuan) without all of you, it would certainly have felt like a single-man war... and thanks for sharing ur notes and stuff unselfishly... even though we may compare scores and appear competitive, at the end of the day, we are still part of the cohort, fighting the same battle on the same front..

Lost and Found


Was taking 852 back home. It had just rained in the evening and the windows were misty. The guy sitting next to me was reading a book. I was lost in my own random thoughts. Suddenly he looked up and tried to peer through the misted windows.

"Where in the world are we?" he turned to me and asked.

"Lentor avenue," I replied.

Seeing the look of confusion on his face, I added, "Right after Yio Chu Kang station."

A look of comprehension.

"Thank you."

I smiled.

Sometimes we get so focused on something that we lose our way. It only takes the right person at the right time to put us back on the right track. To all those who guided me back when I got lost: thank you.
