Year in Review
Ok. Its quite late for a "year in review". Dunno. Maybe sch-reopening is of more significance to me (in the heralding of a new yr) instead of New Year's Day.
2005 has been a year of change. Changes so fast and furious that at certain points of time I felt a bit overwhelmed. I was enlisted, thrown into unknown and mosquito infested areas of Singapore, received my A level results, drove a 'tank', see and use different methods of destruction, went for Medical interviews, got accepted, disrupted, started university life, saw and touched cadavers, took my first CA...
Basically, its a year where I experienced many new things. Some were good, some were bad. But I think the hardest thing was to meet up with new people, befriend them, get used to the presence of them, and having to say goodbye. (probably accounting for my slight antisocial behaviour at the beginning of the sch term..)
But I'm glad that my group of close frens ("78 club") has remained throughout this year of change. We went out during BMT, we went out when we were in our posted units, we went out when we disrupted. We are still going out. I think to be able to stick together after so much changes is a thing to be treasured.
This year, 2006, will be a challenging and exciting year, with much more to do, to see and to experience. I look forward to all these. Happy New Year.
