Sigh of relief

...I fell asleep at 8+ yesterday after the grueling clinical test.. and woke up at this unearthly hour... can't seem to fall aslp again.. I tot I'll surf the net abit and mug..

The clinical test was ok, but I thought I really passed on the account that my examiner was merciful. If it was a certain prof *ahem* I might have been killed a thousand times. I got 4 short cases and 1 long case. (Why 4?? Cos "there's still time, let's go for one more case" O_o) For those interested to know, the cases are as follows (in chrono order as I got them):
  1. Fibreglass cast with pes cavus due to some neuromuscular dysplasia
  2. DM cellulitis
  3. Thomas splint w pearson knee attachment + DVT calf pump
  4. Ex-fix + foot drop
  5. Long case: Acute suppurative spine infxn (this was the main dx) + DM foot
Could get most of the short cases, but couldn't answer every single question. I thought that was still quite alright. But really died at the long case...

"Did you examine the back?"

"No. I would have liked to, but the patient couldn't stand."

(bewildered look)"So you didn't examine the back?? Could you at least have flipped him around? There could be a huge gaping wound at the back for all you know."

"........"

And there was a huge chunk I missed in the history:

"The patient has been here for a month and you didn't ask what has been done for him??"

Really quite screwed up right? But anyway, glad that it's over.. He said he passed me in the end.. phew..
