Satisfaction


Finally found a suitable desk after weeks of hunting.. Shall FINALLY FINALLY be able to complete my extreme makeover of my room in a few weeks time..

A little story of the search for the "perfect" desk.. The main reason (many among others) for it being so hard to find is perhaps its colour.. I wanted a dark brown L-shaped desk to fit with the rest of the room furnishings, but somehow, dark brown is a rare colour for desks.. and secondly, my room is a little space-constrained.. so the dimensions are a bit tight... went Ikea, furniture warehouses, cha-pa-lang furniture shops around the neighbourhood and even the super-ulu-ly located Furniture Mall, but not one desk caught my eye...got scolded by my parents a lot of times for being so "niao" and stubborn...but I'm a hopeless perfectionist.. will remember one furniture shop woman saying, "unless you custom-make, or else I believe u wun b able to find a desk like ur description.."

Hah. My madura foot.

Finally saw a suitable desk at v.hive and ordered it today at the Katong Mall branch. It was no where near my idea of "perfection", but den again anything close to that I will probably have to custom every inch of it.. Got a chio chair oso.. Anyway, to anyone that needs a new desk, there are a couple of very nice desks there.. There was a desk which was quite a nice blend of glass, wood and steel, but couldn't fit into my room (or else it would have been a no-brainer choice).. I dun have a photo, but u wouldn't miss it..

Now the last, and most expensive piece of "furniture" that would give eyes to the dragon (画龙点睛) would be my new computer...=D Maybe can organise a room-warming party after its all done..lol

Hey weixiang!
it's like my dream to have L-shape table. KE has it and i'll definitely miss it when i move home after CSFC.
My room also got a lot of problem....everything is built-in :(:(
